Martin Martinček’s Liptov Mountain People
21. Marec 2005 - 1. May 2005
Curator Aurel Hrabušický
The exhibition merely presents a fragment of an extensive series of photographs of Martin Martinček (1913–2004), presented to the Slovak National Gallery after his retrospective exhibition staged at Esterházy Palace in Bratislava at the turn of 2001. The show focuses on the theme seen by Martinček as one of his most important subjectswith great appeal to the public – the world and life of the Liptov mountain people viewed and recorded by the artist from the 1950s to 1970s.
