June 2011 Exhibition Curators: Katarína Bajcurová, Július Barczi Ernest Zmeták (1919 – 2004) is one of the most significant figures of Slovak painting of the second half of the 20th century. His repertoire included landscapes, simple rural motifs, still lifes, portraits and self-portraits; in graphic art he focused on folk ballads and biblical scenes. This project is presented as a double exhibition. It features the artistic work of Ernest Zmeták while also documenting his abundant activities as a collector. up | |
